Oct 30, 2018

Accessorize your bathroom

When it comes to the bathroom, it is one of the busiest rooms in the house and is also one of the easiest and lowest costs to decorate. We have customers that will change their bathroom décor subtly each season. As we round out summer and head into the fall customers often look to bring some warm earthy tones to their home décor and the bathroom is no exception. You can still have some fun and liven your bathroom up a bit by choosing bright colors or a fun novelty pattern instead of a dark or sophisticated pattern.

The idea should be to keep it simple, especially if you’re not interested in doing a complete makeover including paint and fixtures, think small instead. It is far easier to replace simple things like towels, a shower curtain, or matching accessories. Other simple fixes are adding new bath rugs or a new bath mat for the shower as these are also easy ways to re-decorate. So far this fall grey tones have been very popular and seems to be the new “ivory” or neutral color and we expect this to continue through the fall eventually transitioning to winter hues. If you decide to paint consider adding new wall hardware, towels, and a shower curtain to bring the whole room together. Bathroom wall hardware, while seemingly a very simple touch can change the mood of the room entirely. Consider the example from our collection below and add a rustic feel to your bathroom. Examples would be a European Towel Holder, which typically has a bar to hang several bath towels under it, but also has a top shelf that can used for bath towel storage. Many accessories such as bath trays or jars can allow for on counter storage instead of having things like cotton balls and Q-Tips stored in the drawers.
