Measurement guidelines for the following window treatments:
- Blinds
- Window Shades
- Cellular Shades
- Roman Shades
Determine The Bracket Location
Bracket placement for these types of window coverings can be located either inside the window frame or outside the window frame.
Outside Mount
Typically places the brackets on the face or outside of the window trim. Measure at the top of the window where the brackets will be placed.
Inside Mount
Places the product inside the ceiling of the inside edge of the window frame. Measure the inside of the window at the top, middle, and bottom, and use the smallest of these 3 measurement.
Measure For Length
Measure from the top of the window frame to the top of the window sill. It is best to measure for length on both the left and the right sides of the window. The larger of these 2 measurements should be used.
Helpful Tip
It is best to take measurements using a metal tape measure to obtain accurate measurements.
